Urogynaecology is a subspeciality of gynaecology, dealing with female urinary incontinence and pelvic prolapse, both of which are common, though seldom discussed consequences of childbirth and ageing. Dr Al-Salihi has undergone subspecialty training at the Royal Women’s Hospital for four years, after finished his obstetrics and gynaecology specialty training, and obtained a subspecialty degree / certificate from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, in Urogynaecology (CU).
